Example Wedding I
We had a wonderful time at Rhod and Claire’s wedding held at Caerphilly Castle, and thought they’d make a great example for us to show what Janda wedding photographic coverage is all about.
Rhod & Claire We hit it off with these guys right from the first meeting, very important for us. We work hard to build trust and a rapport with our couples, which gives our images a natural, relaxed feel. Plus we find it much more fun to be an active part of the celebration, rather than just observers. They booked us on the spot. :-)
ePortrait The next milestone is the engagement portrait shoot. This is all about getting to know each other better and seeing what works for the couple. Photography is a creative process and we encourage our couples to take an active part. It’s a time to experiment, throw around a few ideas and most importantly of all, have some fun! The ePortait alleviates any anxieties that the couple might have and ensures that the photography on the big day is relaxed and second nature. We met up with Rhod and Claire in Cardiff Bay for their ePortrait. After about an hour working with the great backdrops on offer we headed to the bar for a well earned pint! The portraits from the shoot make great gifts for parents and members of the bridal party.

The Big Day Full day coverage, that’s what we do. Two photographers, Angela and I, telling the story as it naturally flows. It’s that simple really.
With the Boys I’ve played golf, been bowling, and visited my fair share of cafes and pubs with the groomsmen. Tough job I know! We always learn the names of the main bridal party before the day, and now is the time to put faces to the names. The groom is relaxed and that filters down to the other guys. A combination of documentary images and some fun portraits tells the story of an important, but often neglected part of the wedding day. Excellent breakfast at Rhod local cafe, just putting the pictures together for this article made me feel soooo hungry!

With the Girls I know I’m biased, but one of the wonderful things about my wife Angela is that she is just so easy to get on with and is such a joy to be around. In 30 seconds she’s one of the girls and can capture all the excitement of the brides preparations. I dropped Angela off at the New House Hotel where Claire was getting ready and from then on she was part of the bridal party, travelling with them to the Castle.

At the Venue Time for some informal portraits and pictures of the ceremony room before Claire arrives in their super cool wedding car. Toot toot!

The Ceremony Two points of view, and a documentary style of photography capturing the emotion.

Back in 20 minutes Our chance to get some portraits of the newly weds, and the perfect chance for the couple to have a short break away from the wedding party and catch their breath on a day that literally flies by. The four of us had already come up with a plan for Rhod and Claire’s 20 minute portrait. Loving the results.

The Wedding Breakfast The details, the speeches and the cake cutting. And a chance for Angela and I to take a quick break and refuel.

Opportunities We’re always on the look out for something special and I could tell we were in for an amazing sunset on the back of the Castle. A bit of sweet talking from Angela and the security guys agreed to unlock the back door and we emerged into the most beautiful light.

The First Dance In our experience this is the perfect ending to the photographic story of the day. Time for us to pack up the equipment, say our goodbyes and leave everyone to party the night away. This is what happened with Rhod and Claire, but when we left the Castle and looked back at it all lit up we couldn’t resist stealing them away for a final few shots. ;-)

The Perfect End to the perfect wedding day photographic coverage. We love this job!
