Engagement portraits are all about getting to know each other. Charlotte never stops smiling / giggling / laughing. Dan, as well as protecting Queen and Country, has the super power ability to see through women’s clothing. Great for him, but on the the face of it not that useful to the rest of us, but I wonder if I give him a camera…get the idea?

Wedding next month at Sandhurst Military Academy.

When we announced our engagement my best friend said to us: “if I can give you one piece of advice, make sure you pick a fabulous wedding photographer, the photos will become part of your treasured memories” how right she was. As neither of us really like the posed traditional wedding photos and truly believing in the saying that “a picture tells a thousand words” we wanted something a bit different, and we certainly found that with Janda. We initially booked them and paid the deposit on the strength of their portfolio from their website, we were quite apprehensive about our first meeting and “engagement shoot” but Jon and Angela’s sunny disposition and relaxed confidence soon put us at ease.

The engagement session was great fun and really helped us to get used to being in front of the camera, (although with Angela’s snipper shots you aren’t always aware of being papped!) we were thrilled with the results and knew at that point we had chosen an amazingly talented team who are evidently passionate about what they do.

We’d like to say a BIG thank you to them both for telling the story of the most romantic day of our lives.

On the day Jon and Angela were ace, they blended in perfectly with the other guests but got all the important shots, and a load more besides. It was great to have two photographers and means you can get completely different view points of events like we did in the chapel and on the steps at Sandhurst. Later on in the evening we were amazed to catch Jon sneaking in the back door dressed head to toe in waterproofs having been on an adventure to get some great night shots of the Manor in advance of the fireworks, the results are incredible and completely unique. Nothing was too much trouble for them and even after a full 12 hours of being with us they were as bright and bubbly and passionate about their art as they were in the morning. Several of our friends have commented that they’re the best wedding photos they’ve ever seen and we’re really pleased with the results. We’d like to say a BIG thank you to them both for telling the story of the most romantic day of our lives.

Facebook Florence

Soon after Steph and Stu met, the internet became their only means of communication. Stu, an officer in the Royal Engineers, was posted to Afghanistan and their relationship blossomed via Facebook. Unfortunately he was injured whilst on duty and flown back to hospital in the UK where Steph became his Florence Nightingale, helping to nurse him back to health. A real life love story.

We spent a wonderful morning with them at the exclusive Minley Manor, where the reception for their winter wedding at Sandhurst Military Academy will be held. Hope it snows!
