We first met Sonia whilst photographing her sister Anna’s wedding to Tony back in 2007 when Sonia was a bridesmaid.
Next April she’ll be the Bride.

Goodwood sparkled in the October sunshine. So did James and Andrina.

Here’s the story.

A Scandinavian beauty meets a handsome Italian in Holland. They fall in love and propose marriage in the picturesque village of Limone on the shore of Lake Garda in Italy. Family and friends will travel from Finland and Padova to celebrate with them, and we’ll be there to capture it. Happy days :)

Met up with Marjaana and Matteo over a cappuccino in Carluccios. On our walk around the park we got to know each other better, and took a few relaxed portraits. Next time we meet will be in May 2012 in Malcesine. So excited about this one.

Just before Simon and Sophie arrived for their engagement portrait shoot, I was out walking our dog. I met a man walking his dog. He looked some what familiar. We got chatting and he introduced himself as Michael Brandon, an actor who was renting one of our neighbours houses whilst he appeared at Chichester Festival Theatre. Those over a certain age would recognise him as Lt James Dempsey from the 80′s cop series, Dempsey and Makepeace. He mentioned a bicycle that he needed to sell before the move back to London, a Schwinn Tango tandem he’d brought over from the States. I bought it on the spot and used it an hour later in Simon and Sophies shoot. Serendipity.

They say you should try something new everyday. Simon and Sophie were tandem virgins when they arrived, experts when they left. And Sophie, about that smile, what’s not to love ;)

Just a quick thank you for our photo shoot yesterday, I think it will make such a difference on the day and it was SO much fun! The bike was awesome, you guys were awesome! I loved it all! Can’t wait to see the photos!

Engagement portraits are all about getting to know each other. Charlotte never stops smiling / giggling / laughing. Dan, as well as protecting Queen and Country, has the super power ability to see through women’s clothing. Great for him, but on the the face of it not that useful to the rest of us, but I wonder if I give him a camera…get the idea?

Wedding next month at Sandhurst Military Academy.

If I had a pound for every time a couple says “we’re really nervous about having our picture taken”, there would be a yacht called ‘Janda’ moored just off Virgin Gorda in the BVI. Anyway, back to reality. Joanna and William were definitely in this camera shy category. We met up on a sunny morning at their local beauty spot, Richmond Park. After a cappuccino and a chat we decided just to photography the deer in the park instead ;)

As you can see, there was nothing to worry about. There never is.

When a good neighbour asks you to photograph his daughters wedding, you say

‘Yes, yes, yes. And can we use your Ferrari in their engagement photo shoot?’ :)

Couldn’t resist a walk on our beach though. Did I say, we LOVE the beach!

New York based Sharad and Katherine were in the UK for Katherine’s hen, so they invited us to come to Bath and stay over at their rented farm house for their engagement shoot. Thanks guys, our daughter Freja loved swimming in the pool, and it was great to spend such quality time with their nearest and dearest before the big day. They really ‘let us in’.

Wedding in two weeks at Caerphilly Castle and reception at the Celtic Manor.

Carl and Kate traveled down from Stoke-on-Trent from their engagement portrait shoot on the beach, plus a few pictures in the Janda HQ gardens. Loved spending time with these guys, oh so beautiful. Wedding next week in Marylebone Town Hall and reception in Malmaison.

Met up with Ross and Suzanne at their ceremony venue, The Athenaeum Hotel in Mayfair. Wow, what a great venue. Their reception will be at Il Bottaccio, with a short stop for champagne in Hyde Park, which is where we shot their engagement portrait. Ross is very busy with work, so all the pictures were taken in 15 minutes of his lunch break. Wedding’s next week! Can’t wait.
