Spring time wedding.
Started the day at the brides parents house on the Aldwick Bay Estate. Then onto Thomas A’Becketts Church in Pagham and finally the reception at the ever popular Upwaltham Barns.

All I knew about Max and Simon was they hated having their picture taken. In the 10 years they’ve been together only 3 pictures of them exist. This could be a challenging shoot.

The door opened and in walked a good looking couple who sat on the next table. I wished that the my couple would look like them. But my couple were late, so I decided to give the cameras one last check over. Then the good looking couple said,

“Are you Jon?”

I :) My day just got a whole lot better.

Wedding takes place next month at Matara in the Cotswolds.

Gave Amanda and Ben a whistle stop tour of Chichester for their engagement portrait. Wedding at The Great Barn in Aynho in a few weeks time.

milestone birthday for Angela / shot a wedding at Highcliffe Castle / celebrated Felix’s Christening with friends and family / ate too much pasta at Carluccio’s / completed editing 2 more weddings / shot and edited Ben & Amanda’s engagement portrait / commissioned by Rolls Royce for a VIP event at Goodwood House / located passport / heading off to Italy to shoot Marjaana and Matteo’s wedding in Limone, Lake Garda :)

Black clouds, a clap of thunder and flashes of lightning didn’t bode well but we managed to dodge (most of) the rain.

Thanks for tolerating huge bees in the rapeseed field, vaulting over barbed wire fences and avoiding lots of sheep poo to make these pictures. We promise not to ask you do this type of stuff when you’re all dressed up on your wedding day (unless of course there’s the prospect of getting great images ;-)

They’ve chosen one of our favorite venues to celebrate their nuptials, Farbridge Barns on the West Dean Estate. Let’s hope there’s no thunder and lightning there in June.

One of the best parts of a prewedding shoot is getting to know the couple before the big day. Dan & Hayley were perfect. Enthusiastic, easy going and gorgeous together.

Have to say though I was a little disappointed to find out that Dan isn’t bringing his 1954 oval windowed VW Beetle to the wedding :(

Reminded us of our first cars; a ’66 Beetle and a ’67 Split screen camper. Happy days!

The next time we met was at Sandhurst Military Academy when we were photographing her other sisters wedding.

Rachel married Tom in 2009 and Cath and Emily were bridesmaids.

It’s something very special when families choose us again and again to photograph landmark days of their lives.

The Norths are one such family. It’s a pleasure to be in their company and we can’t wait to see them all again at Cath and Tim’s wedding in June at Llansandffaed Court, Wales.

We chose Roath Park in Cardiff for Cath and Tim’s spring time engagement portrait. It’s close to the family home and a very pleasant place to spend a couple of hours just wandering, chatting and catching up.

Oh, and we took a few pictures too ;-)

Met up at West Beach Cafe for a pre wedding chat/coffee and a walk on the beach for their engagement portrait. Richard soon relaxed (the main aim of a prewed shoot) and Stephanie was a natural right from the start. See you in 6 weeks guys!
